Partner Voices

Even without the resources to grow inbound or overseas sales, we build fans for your products all over the world.

Through GOOD DELI, our inbound and overseas expansion support service, we share the appeal of Japan with the world alongside many partner companies. Here are some voices from companies we have actually worked with.

Tomitaka Chozai Pharmacy Co., Ltd.
Wasen Syrup is Tomitaka Pharmacy's very first original product, and this was also our first time exhibiting at a trade fair, so we considered it carefully. But after meeting Mr. Ikeda, the CEO of Mix Corp., and feeling his sincerity and enthusiasm, we felt we could trust him completely, and decided to take part in the Asakusa pop-up. We received detailed feedback not only during the event but afterward as well, and their commitment to working alongside us toward better sales results was truly reassuring. Following the Asakusa pop-up, we went on to exhibit at the Japan Festival Boston. We weren't able to travel there ourselves, but Mix Corp. handled everything on-site — sales and operations alike — which led to results beyond our expectations. Across the two days of the event — ten hours in all — we sold 499 cups of hot Wasen Syrup drinks. For a company that had never considered expanding overseas, this was an invaluable opportunity that gave us real confidence that our product can succeed in international markets.

We exhibited in order to test the inbound demand for our products in the Asakusa area, one of Japan's leading tourist destinations. We also expected that the reports on sales and tasting feedback they provide would be useful for our future sales strategy. Once we took part, tastings sometimes led directly to purchases, and we felt that Western-style Japanese sweets familiar to overseas customers — such as cheese and sweet-potato treats — were readily accepted. We also received comments like "it tastes even better than the film packaging and labels suggest," which made us realize that refining our packaging could lead to even more sales opportunities.

We decided to exhibit because the pop-up lets us hear real, firsthand feedback from international customers. The on-site sales staff were wonderfully capable, and we gathered far more insight than we had expected. They proactively ran things like limited-edition packaging sales and lucky-grab events, and even shared feedback on the crowds they drew and who was buying. We've taken part several times now, and every time they come up with new ways to promote our products — it's genuinely a learning experience for us, too.
